wc_combologo_horiz_rgb_150dpi-2We have exciting news: Waterford has acquired Curriculet, a self-guided independent reading program, and is currently enhancing its features in time for the 2017-2018 school year!

For 40 years, our main focus has been building a foundation of literacy for every child. Now, with Curriculet’s platform, we’ll be able to provide students in higher grades with individualized reading experiences and curriculum that further builds on that early foundation.

“Waterford builds a foundation of literacy for student success in reading, math and science during the critical preschool through second grade years,” said Andy Myers, Waterford’s COO. “For the upper elementary grades, Curriculet will enable us to provide instructional content wrapped around books in a way that helps teachers increase the quality and quantity of independent reading experiences for their students.”

A reboot of Curriculet’s platform will take place summer 2017, when it will be available as a companion solution to Waterford programs like Waterford Early Learning and SmartStart. We plan to offer Curriculet’s capabilities grades 3-12, with an initial focus on library breadth and depth for grades 3-6.

“We are thrilled to find the right home for Curriculet to move the great platform we built into its next phase,” Jason Singer, founder and CEO of Curriculet, said. “Pairing Curriculet’s independent reading platform with the proven product of Waterford Early Learning provides each child with an ideal path to literacy and a lifelong love of reading.”
