You will have ownership over specific areas of marketing and will collaborate across teams and disciplines to create and implement new processes and campaigns including, but not limited to, lead generation, corporate events, email marketing, community outreach, and sales support. You will prepare proposals and presentations, report campaign effectiveness, and perform market research to identify new opportunities. Your day to day will be fast-paced and filled with a variety of tasks both satisfying and challenging.
You will strategize and execute the following initiatives:
• Plan strategy for and execute targeted, multi-channel marketing campaigns
• Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales and market data to measure progress toward specific objectives
• Support outreach efforts by providing new creative, messaging, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, and new product information
• Build relationships in the community to further Waterford.org’s mission – especially among at-risk communities
• Write copy for targeted campaigns, edit and proof marketing collateral and artifacts
• Enforce brand marketing guidelines in trademarks, logos, and publications
• Leverage customer insight data to refine brand management
• Manage a dynamic team while creating process and procedures to ensure program scalability
• Establish philanthropic best practices and procedures for both micro-donations and large corporate donor messaging
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with CRMs and marketing tools, analytics, and software

The Waterford UPSTART Community Outreach Lead position is full-time employment (40 hours per week or more based on work load, with some Saturdays). The Community Outreach Lead is responsible for promoting the Waterford UPSTART program within low-income communities throughout the state of Utah and beyond. The Outreach Lead will be responsible for researching, identifying, and scheduling participation in community events specifically targeted to low-income families and families with children who are English language learners.
Candidates for this position will be ambassadors for Waterford UPSTART and will represent Waterford Institute and the UPSTART program’s mission and values.
• Participate in and exhibit at conferences and education fairs; increase public awareness and interest in the program
• Manage existing relations and create new partnerships with government agencies, religious organizations, special interest groups, nonprofits, media outlets, and local businesses
• Develop executable plans to recruit Waterford UPSTART participants from families with four-year-old children who come from low-income households or are English language learners
• Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Responsible, dependable, and able to carry out tasks with minimal supervision
• Must be able to research, plan, and prioritize own schedule based on highest exposure opportunities
• Ability to manage team of Outreach Coordinators and Interns

Job Description

Join our staff and become involved in Waterford UPSTART. This in-home kindergarten readiness program is looking for individuals who are passionate about early education and helping parents prepare their children for kindergarten.
As an Early Education Advocate, you will have your own families and children for which you will be responsible.
Some of these responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Creating a supportive relationship with your assigned families from enrollment to graduation
• Staying in communication on a weekly basis with your designated families to answer questions and offer motivational tips to encourage the child’s software usage and inspire parents to become a champion of their child’s kindergarten success
• Managing software usage and family profiles using an online management system, training will be provided
• Receiving incoming phone calls regarding program information, usage and software
