Violeta is the story of a nine-year-old girl who—like her mother, father, and three sisters—is named after a flower. Much like a flower, Violeta opens up when she’s inspired or encouraged and closes when she feels scared or shy. Violeta loves to read and is encouraged by several mentors to use reading as a way to overcome her shyness. As Violeta’s courage builds, she tries something new and her confidence blossoms.
