Preschoolers in Utah’s UPSTART Program Using Technology from Waterford Institute Show Stronger Literacy Skills Than Peers

June 4, 2013 — A recent report by the Evaluation and Training Institute (ETI) found that preschoolers using the home-based program UPSTART demonstrated better literacy skills and stronger literacy growth rates than children who did not participate in the program. UPSTART, which develops the school readiness skills of children before they go to kindergarten, was established as a pilot project by the Utah state legislature.
