The Great Utah ShakeOut Earthquake Drill

Waterford is participating in The Great Utah ShakeOut earthquake drill Thursday, April 19 at 10:15am.

The drill is practice procedure for any earthquake that may occur, especially the major earthquake predicted to hit northern Utah at any time over the next several decades.

At 10:15am, your managers will announce the drill has begun:

  1. DROP where you are onto your hands and knees
  2. COVER your head and neck with one arm and crawl under the nearest desk or sturdy table
  3. HOLD ON under cover, keeping one arm over your head and neck and the other holding the desk or table leg

The drill will last about one minute, so wait for the “all-clear” from your manager.
