What Parents are Saying

Reading at a second-grade level—Dear Waterford, I just wanted to thank you for your outstanding program. My four-and-half-year-old daughter, Miranda, was an emerging reader when she started your program last year. When she finished the program she was reading at a second-grade reading level and read over two dozen chapter books in two months. I didn’t work with her much at home during this time period, so I know it was Waterford that accelerated the pace of my daughter’s reading.

Thanks a million,
Laurann Wilkey

Increased my child’s confidence tremendously—Waterford Research Institute Community Center has increased my child’s confidence tremendously! She comes home from class happy, fulfilled, and wanting to learn more. It has been a pleasant experience this year and I look forward to the next.

She will begin kindergarten in the fall and I have no doubt that she will begin her first day as a reader thanks to Waterford Research Institute Community Center. Thank you for providing children the opportunity to learn in a fun, loving, and individually paced environment!

Fun to see all she is learning—Ganel-Lyn Condie, whose daughter Vanessa attends the Community Center, related the following:

I was surprised when Vanessa said, “Mom, hippopotamus has five syllables.” I didn’t even know she knew the word syllable. It’s so fun to see all she is learning. She is learning so much.

Definitely refer this program to anyone—My daughter Saige has truly enjoyed participating in the Waterford Research Institute learning program. What a fun way for her to utilize the computer programs that help her to learn math, reading, and science.

This is such a great program that is offered free to the community. The location is an easy access off the freeway, and although it is a bit of a drive it is definitely worth it … My child thinks it is fun to play on the computer, so being able to learn in this way will help her learning and development.

I would definitely refer this program to anyone interested in giving their child a great head start.

Wish all kids could have the opportunity—I think Waterford is amazing. I wish all kids could have the opportunity to be in their program and use their software. Thank you!

Computer games are always a hit—My son loves coming to Waterford. The reading, science, and math activities presented as fun computer games are always a hit!

Reading skills are going through the roof—My child’s reading skills are going through the roof.

Learned to concentrate—My daughter is always so excited she is going to “computer class” rather than her normal preschool.

We’ve had trouble getting her to sit down and learn her ABCs and numbers with us, so this has really helped her in that area. She also has learned to concentrate and stay seated for a lot longer than we thought she could. It’s been great for her!

Best education and excellent treatment—I would encourage all parents to start their children at Waterford Research Institute at an early age for the best education and for excellent treatment by the teachers. Waterford provides a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for learning at this early age. I highly recommend it.

Love how it lets children go at their own pace—I love the interactive software and how it lets children go at their own pace. I like the worksheets for them to practice their letters. I like that when they finish they can doodle or write … I also like the certificates the program prints out for them.

My daughter is comfortable with computers—My daughter has attended the Waterford Community Center for the past two years. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. She has grown and learned so much.

I also love the way it makes the children comfortable with the use of computers. She is extremely confident in her schoolwork and I know we owe that in large part to Waterford’s program. Thank you so much!

Fun to see children skipping and grinning—It was fun to see the children skipping and grinning as they hopped to the door to be the first to get started. It appears that they really enjoy it!
