Learning Approach

Personalized Learning

Waterford Early Learning™ presents a unique learning experience for every student at every level of progress. The curriculum automatically adjusts based on each student’s current performance, allowing students to spend proportionally more time in areas where they demonstrate weakness. Teachers can view and print students’ progress reports to inform whole-group or differentiated instruction at any time.

Quality Educational Experiences

Unlike other programs, Waterford Early Learning gives students more than skill learning. Children delight in traditional songs and stories from around the world, nursery rhymes, mnemonics set to classical melodies, biographies of well-known and not-so-well-known mathematicians and scientists, hundreds of digital books and songs, and a variety of voices, characters, accents, and cultures.  All of these things add up to a rich educational experience usually reserved for elite institutions, but it is now available for all learners.

Easy for Teachers

Waterford Early Learning is easy to use in a computer lab or a classroom, requiring less than five minutes of a teacher’s busy day to manage. The program automatically cycles through student sessions. Teachers can easily monitor and modify each student’s curriculum. In addition, Waterford enhances the home-school connection through computer printouts and student materials.

Enhances Existing Curriculum

Waterford Early Learning is designed to reinforce the teacher’s classroom instruction. As students work at their own pace in Waterford Early Learning, they may experience instruction as an introduction or a review of their classroom experience. Teachers often compare Waterford to the presence of  a very well-trained tutor in their classroom, working one-on-one with students to reinforce and extend the classroom experience.

If we teach today's students as taught yesterday's, we rob them of tomorrow. --John Dewey
