Scope of Skills Taught
Camp Consonant™ teaches Pre-K through third grade students the core skills needed to become fluent readers. Starting with alphabetic principles, the lessons provide explicit and systematic instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, letter recognition, letter sounds, word patterns, blending, syllables, encoding, and decoding. Through repetition and practice, students learn to use these skills automatically.
