Job: Job: Field Support Engineer

Candidates should be willing to work with a team, possess problem solving skills and be able to handle multiple tasks and work environments. Field Support Engineers are Tier 3 support for our customers; therefore strong technical, as well as interpersonal skills are required. The Field Support Engineer works under the direction of the Field Support Manager.

Our Support Engineers work closely with Sales as subject-matter experts to demonstrate how proposed solutions meet and exceed customer requirements. Working with Product Management, the Field Engineer will build a strong relationship with partners and customers to build a high satisfaction level with all Waterford products and services.

Responsibilities

•  Install, configure and upgrade computer hardware and software

•  Help architect complex network infrastructures to support defined customer requirements

•  Pre-qualify installations for product specification compliance

•  Communicate issue response solutions to the internal teams as well as to the customer base

•  Provide timely analysis in support of escalated customer situations

•  Provide onsite support representation, where the need has been identified

•  Represent customer issues to the engineering team in the event their participation is required

•  Track and manage cases escalated to field involvement

•  Identify critical customer situations and provide diagnostic data to engineering teams

•  Configure software and servers for optimal performance of Waterford products

Qualifications

•  B.S. engineering or information systems or equivalent industry experience

•  2+ years of experience in field engineering support of distributed software, database, network and/or security technologies

•  Possess a solid understanding of networks, databases, security and web application environments

•  Knowledge of wireless LAN technologies

•  Knowledge in databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL)

•  Experience with Linux, Windows, MacOS at both workstation and server level

•  Experience with networking fundamentals (LANs, WANs, switches, routers)

•  Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, Load balancers, proxies and firewalls

•  Work experience with thin clients, virtual servers, cloud services

•  Excellent analysis and debugging skills

•  Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills

•  Excellent written, oral communication and strong interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills

•  Experience working directly with customers analyzing network infrastructure and system requirements

•  Experience working with Application Servers (Glassfish, JBoss)

•  Working knowledge of programming and scripting languages preferred (Java, Javascript, SQL)

Work Conditions

•  40-hour on-site work week

•  Ability to occasionally adjust work schedule to align with foreign office work-day

•  Current US passport, must be eligible for various Visas

•  Some manual labor, moderately heavy lifting required (network installation, wiring, etc.)

Job: Job: Software Architect

The Software Architect will have solid technical skills and significant experience in delivering high quality and high performance service oriented systems. The Software Architect provides technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the product planning level. Will work closely with product management, other architects, and development teams to assure Waterford products remain current with emergent technologies and are delivered at the highest quality and at following optimal development practices. The Software Architect reports directly to the Vice President of Technology.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining Waterford products.
• Ensure that proposed and existing systems architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
• Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Product Management, other Systems/Software Architects, and software development teams.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of development efforts, and recommend technologies that keep products current and efficient.
• Provide and challenge requirements while designing solutions based on deep technical knowledge of scalable web and database architectures.
• Set high level design objectives.
• Review and critique software designs proposed by senior developers.
• Write technical documentation and present architecture to others.
• Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing systems and software as necessary.
• Document the company's existing systems architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.

Requirements:

• Experience designing and building complex customer-facing applications.
• Expertise in several programming languages such as Java, Javascript, JQuery as well as Object Oriented Design.
• Experience architecting solutions for high-capacity, highly-scalable web delivered applications.
• Experience working with and leading small teams, establishing development practices, and mentoring individuals.
• In-depth understating of Service Oriented Architectures and RESTful services, and Linux/Unix background.
• Experience working with Cloud-based technologies.
• Architect robust maintainable software solutions consistent with industry practices.
• Ability to communicate this architecture at a business and technical level.
• Interface with the Product, Marketing and other teams in the company to ensure a clear understanding of the solution that will be built.
• Take ownership and responsibility for delivering stable code meeting specifications, and timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer or Technical field required.
• 5+ years of architecture experience in SOA environment.
• 5+ years of experience with server-side technologies and major application servers.
• 5+ years of experience working within a software development team.
• Exceptional problem solving skills - especially with problems that may be beyond your breadth of knowledge.
• Exceptional self-direction skills.

Job: Job: Director of Instructional Design

Job Summary:

The Director of Instructional Design is responsible for curriculum design using research- and standards-based development. As a team member of the Design and Creative Group, the Director drives the instructional design of all computer-based curriculum products and supplemental materials. The Director oversees Instructional Designers and works closely with Researchers, User Experience Designers, Programmers, Artists, Trainers, and Marketing/Business Development Staff. The Director develops and delivers presentations on Research, Instructional Design, and Waterford Products/Programs for a variety of audiences. Some travel may be required. The Director reports to the VP of Design and Creative.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Develop Education & Design Requirements according to standards
• Define and design research- and standards-based, measurable learning objectives
• Ensure content accuracy and quality in curriculum development
• Research national, state, and international curriculum standards, guidelines, and literature
• Align Waterford curriculum with national and state standards
• Work closely with User Experience Designers to ensure effective teaching methods and content presentation
• Develop content for computer adaptive assessments
• Develop content for supplemental materials, such as teacher guides and student books
• Work closely with Researchers, User Experience Designers, Programmers, Artists, Trainers, Writers, Marketing/Business Development Staff, and other Team Members as projects dictate
• Present research and demonstrate Waterford products to a variety of audiences
• Meet deadlines by planning milestones with Product/Project Owners
• Develop familiarity with existing Waterford curriculum products and supplemental materials
• Oversee Instructional Designers and Content Experts

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
